My name is Dean and I am defined by many things.
I am a professional dancer. A passionate teacher. An advocate. A student. And I am one of Sydney’s leading emerging creative artists.
I have been dancing since the age of 7, with over 15 years of training and experience. I attended Brent Street Academy in 2019-2020 where I attained a Certificate IV in Dance and later went on to attain a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) in the Performing Arts full-time course.
I started creating around the age of 15 and haven’t stopped since. The scope of my creative interests constantly evolves and includes developing movement and choreography, conceptualising ideas and translating them to stage and screen, interpreting and editing music, and most importantly, connecting with myself and others.
I often work on my own personal projects but within the past year, I have begun to pursue choreography and creative direction professionally. Each job has been completely different from the last, proving that I am versatile and moving in my own lane.
Upon graduating from full-time training in 2021, Dean signed with Focus Talent Management who have supported him to enter and navigate the entertainment industry.

Beyond my professional work, I am deeply passionate about dance and artistry. I have been consistently developing a unique style of choreography and movement for the past 7 years and through that, I have found my artistic voice. I pay homage to Contemporary, Jazz, and Street styles in particular when I harness my approach to movement.
Each decision I make as an artist is done with intention. I believe our voices are so powerful when we use them thoughtfully, so I always strive to make what I say count. In a world and an industry where misconduct, oppression and discrimination is ever-present, I not only want to work ethically but I want to stand up for what I believe is right.
